The GL Buddy Start-up application has been developed in conjunction with the FIGr8 Enterprise Management Configuration Tool (ConFIGr8) for GL Win, and is used to create the files necessary for connecting to the GL servers.
Using data exported from the database to an XML file, the application can generate glflux and glparam files for individual users. This enables users to hot-desk, as the GL workstation is configured for each individual user every time they launch the application. It also simplifies processes such as adding new users or markets. The changes are made to the CONFIGR8 and a new XML file is pushed out to the relevant workstations.
